Brooke Fixler, LPC

Brooke Fixler (she/her), LPC is an outpatient psychotherapist at Cardinal Counseling. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Arkansas (P2303012) and Texas (76847). She holds a Master of Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of North Texas. Brooke has experience working with adults and adolescents in a variety of settings, including outpatient clinics, hospitals, and the juvenile justice system. This broad experience honed Brooke’s ability to walk alongside and advocate for people from all walks of life during some of life’s most challenging experiences.

Brooke believes healing happens within relationships. She strives to create a safe, judgment-free environment by providing empathy and understanding. Brooke’s approach to therapy is collaborative, holistic, and compassionate. Within the safety of a therapy relationship, she helps clients learn new ways of relating, understanding past trauma, and coping with the difficulties and stressors of life.
Brooke specializes in helping adults and teens who are coping with trauma/PTSD, depression, anxiety, self-injury, postpartum mood disorders, relationship issues, identity exploration, and navigating the transition into adulthood. She provides individual therapy and is trained in Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. While equipped with a variety of techniques, Brooke tailors her approach to fit the unique needs of each person she works with.
When not at Cardinal, Brooke enjoys spending time reading fiction, traveling the world, hiking throughout Arkansas’s beautiful parks, and spending time with her husband and two precious dogs.
