Laurent Lefevre (they/them) is an outpatient psychotherapitst at Cardinal Counseling. As a Licensed Associate Counselor in Arkansas (Lic. No. A2204020), Laurent earned their Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Central Arkansas. With a background in outpatient clinic settings, school-based environments, and university counseling settings, they are dedicated to guiding individuals and families towards healing and growth. 

Laurent’s approach

In their therapeutic approach, Laurent integrates research and evidence-based practices, to empower clients to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and self-compassion. Approaching each session with kindness and respect, Laurent is dedicated to holding space for everyone, especially LGBTQIA+ individuals and other marginalized populations. As a bilingual Belgian-American citizen, Laurent is sensitive to cross-cultural experiences and values the inclusion of all aspects of diversity.

Laurent specializes in treating trauma, depression, and anxiety across the lifespan, and is experienced providing individual and family therapy for clients aged 4 and up. To ensure the most effective approach for each unique journey, Laurent has received additional training in evidence-based modalities for trauma such as CPP, TF-CBT, and CPT. They believe in involving clients in their own treatment process and ensure their voices are heard.

Outside of their work, Laurent finds joy in exploring the beauty of the Arkansas outdoors through activities like hiking and kayaking with friends. They also have a penchant for puzzles, enjoy trying new hobbies, and find delight in teaching their cats to high five friends and family.
