Luanne’s approach

Luanne is a trained trauma therapist who utilizes EMDR, ACT, Mindful Self-Compassion, artistic expression, ego state and mindfulness techniques when working with individuals. She believes in individuals having an active role in their treatment process.

As a biracial Taiwanese American, Luanne understands the complexity of experience surrounding the need to honor cultural traditions while also finding one’s own way. Luanne is honored to work with clients in exploring their racial identities and healing generational wounds. Deep joy and fulfillment are available to all of us, even if we are still in the messy middle. Luanne will approach each session with compassion, openness and an aspiration to empower you to live a meaningful life throughout your journey.

Before becoming a social worker, Luanne studied art. She believes in the power of creative expression in the therapeutic process. When she is not seeing clients, she enjoys exploring the world, hiking, kayaking, creating art and spending time with loved ones and her two energetic pups.
