Nancy Mitchell, APRN
Hello! After a long career in mental health, teaching, and nursing, I completed my nursing education to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner. It has been exciting to add medication management services to the supportive psychotherapy I’ve been doing all along. I view myself as a partner and collaborator on your quest for wholeness, and I believe all people deserve skilled care regardless of who they are.

Before joining the Cardinal Counseling team, I worked in outpatient mental health clinics and agencies as well as inpatient mental health units as an RN, Clinical Nurse Manager of a geriatric psych unit, and an APRN. I also worked as an elementary school teacher and counselor, and swim coach during this time. I just love people and I have a big zest for life! I was awarded my BSN degree from Arkansas State University and my Master’s of Nursing Science (MNSc) with a specialty in psychiatric mental health and nursing education from the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences College of Nursing.
